the yawn

Of dawn brings

Disaster that will bind

Them to sorrow

The wails

Of children

the turmoil  within

What words can convey

murmuring

Trapped within

waiting for the sun

to rise above

the dusty fury

of indifference

of the yellow monster

loudspeakers spelling out

the hasty retreat of their

dreams as they crumble
